Good Monday Morning! I have placed two bins in the lobby for students to return their library books, if they are done with them. Hope you all are well and remember to READ, READ, READ!

This afternoon, IL Gov. Pritzker announced the closure of in-person schooling for the remainder of this school year in Illinois, though we will continue remote learning. As more information becomes available, we will send it out to our families. Have a good weekend and stay safe.

Can you believe we have been out of school a month already?! Today's pic is guidance counselor Mr. Moore, who is ready for anything! He helps his 2 daughters keep busy as well as doing work here at school & home. We also give a shout-out to his wife, who is a doctor. #ThankYou

Mr. Janecke wanted us to share this article about retired teachers helping while students are at-home learning.

Today's picture is from grade school secretary Miss Jen. She is enjoying spending time with her son, helping him with homework and playing games.

Congratulations to Christian MacKenzie on signing his letter of intent to play baseball for Trinity International University! #Seniors2020

Today we spotlight Mr. & Mrs. Scheuerell. In addition to both teaching our O'ville students, they have four little ones at home to do homework with and keep busy. Here they are on a well-deserved break at the lake.

Today's pics are from Mrs. Kraft. Top left is the family playing ball, the others are from Mrs Kraft's daughter Anicka's 12th birthday on 4/10. Alber Towing surprised her by driving & honking through the neighborhood. They even stopped at their house to sing her happy birthday!

Here I am with my blooming African Violet to remind everyone that this Monday, April 13th, is a "NO SCHOOL" day as we are still following the original calendar. The school building & office will be closed as well. Have a safe & happy weekend.

Today's photo is from (silly!) Ms. Raizel. Other than making fun learning packets for the PK kids, she and her husband take daily walks in their neighborhood.

Today we highlight Ms. Reed from the library. In addition to homework, she & her family have been doing fun things like baking when indoors, but like to spend time outdoors whenever they can.

The agenda for Monday's Board of Education meeting is now posted on the website. https://5il.co/ewo7

I hope everyone is okay after yesterday's crazy hailstorm! Today's picture is what Mrs. MacKenzie said are her "at home students" (and probably most attentive ones too, haha! -RH). She has been busy doing school work from home as well as continuing as Servant Leadership adviser.

Two Janecke family members on staff means double pictures! When it's not hockey season, they love to be outside. Other than schoolwork, here they are after building a new deer stand, at a planned burn of invasive brush, and of course, tossing around the ball!

☀️ For the first an only time... something kids have always wanted to hear from us: "School is cancelled! Go out and play!" 😁 Enjoy the nice weather today & stay safe.

Reminder: Tomorrow (Tuesday, April 7th), the school will be open longer hours for homework pick up & drop off. We will be open 8 am - 5 pm. Thank you

We are sharing this on behalf of our Orangeville Lions Club. Please click photo for information. Thank you

Just a quick update from the LMC. I truly hope everyone is staying Happy and Healthy! The last thing I want is for you to worry about late fees on your book, so I have gone in and renewed everyone's books that have been checked out. I will continue to do so until we can all be back to school. Stay Safe and Read, Read, Read!

Happy Monday! Today's pics are from Mrs. Brown, 4th grade! In addition to school planning, she has been keeping busy by taking walks as much as possible (here with son Bryce) and sewing fabric masks to donate. (Daughter Anna is a nurse, thanks for your hard work Anna!)

Today we highlight Miss Alice, one of our wonderful paraprofessionals! She has children at home, so like you she is working on all the home-schooling. Yesterday she celebrated World Autism Awareness Day!
