As a behavior incentive for K-5 PE, Mrs. CJ has offered the Almost Impossible Shot to students at the end of class. There have been many attempts, but Maci Diffenderfer was the first to actually make the shot! She gets to pick the 5th grade PE activity on Friday. Congrats Maci!

Even when it's nasty outside, like Friday, and we have to have indoor recess, the students can still learn while being creative. Check out the different fun shapes and designs they made!


The annual cookie walk is back this Wednesday, 12/14, at the elementary music concert! The Fine Arts Boosters will be selling cookies by the pound before & after the concert. Cookie donations FOR the walk can be dropped off at the GS office anytime this week before the concert.


Ms. Franklin challenged her 2nd graders to read 500 pages in their books by the end of December. This awesome group has already reached that goal one week into the month! Great job guys, keep it up!

Tomorrow, Dec. 9, we continue our fun dress up days. Because everyone is wishing for winter break and dreaming of vacation, the dress up day is "Christmas Vacation". Dress up in vacation-wear - Hawaiian shirts, tourist-y clothes, etc. Be creative!

Community post: This Saturday, December 10th, at the Orangeville Fire Station, there will be a breakfast with Santa event! This includes a pancake breakfast, visit with Santa, and kids activities. The time is 8 am - 11 am, and they are asking a freewill cash donation for entry.

At today's RtI Day, teachers put their collaboration, communication, and team building skills to the test by trying to build a gingerbread house that matched an example photo without having the photo right in front of them. (Harder than it seems!) Congrats to the winning team!
