Senior Night for softball is tomorrow (5/6) vs. Pecatonica. It is a 4:30 varsity-only game, and the ceremony will take place after the game. Baseball senior night is 5/14 vs. RR/SM and it is a 4:00 varsity double-header. Senior ceremony will take place before the first game.

Due to the weather forecast, tonight's baseball game at home vs. Monticello, and the away softball games at Sterling are cancelled. At this time there are no reschedule dates.

Here is the schedule for today's JV Tournament: 4 pm on the upper diamond is Monroe vs. E. Dubuque, the lower diamond is Argyle vs. Orangeville. At 5:45 the losers game is on the upper diamond, the winners game is on the lower diamond.

Orangeville School District has 11:00 am dismissal tomorrow, Friday, April 30th, for School Improvement. There will be no in-person Preschool tomorrow. Both AM and PM sessions will be remote learning.


Last night's baseball game against Pearl City was suspended at the top of the 9th inning due to darkness, and there was a tie at the time. That game will be completed today at Pearl City, prior to the regularly scheduled baseball game.


Tonight's home openers of baseball & softball will be varsity-only contests against Pearl City at 4:30. Tomorrow night the baseball game AT Pearl City will be a Varsity followed by JV contest. Thursday when softball travels to Pearl City, it will again be a varsity only game.


CORRECTION: FRESHMEN ORIENTATION IS AT 7:00 PM tonight. 8th graders & parents should plan to attend. Due to Covid guidelines, each student may bring no more than two guardians, and all must wear masks & social distance. There will be a presentation and Q & A session.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
On May 27, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. a meeting conducted by Orangeville Community Unit School District #203 will take place in the LMC at the Jr./Sr. High School. The purpose will be to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and home schools within the district for the 2021-2022 school year. If you are parents of a home-schooled student who has been or may be identified with a disability and you reside in/within the boundaries of Orangeville CUSD #203, you are urged to attend. Each year, the State Scholar Program recognizes students for outstanding academic achievement. This year the ISAC has designated four students at Orangeville High School as IL State Scholars: Zachary Baker, Jacob Doyle, Kirsten Frautschy, and Natalie Smith. Congratulations!


Congratulations to the JH volleyball teams on an awesome season! Last night's 8th-only contest at South Beloit was the only loss of the season by either team. And congratulations to this great group of 8th graders ready to move on to HS ball next year!
