Just a reminder about our annual plant sale taking place tomorrow starting at 8 am.

This week would have marked the end of our regular baseball & softball season and the beginning of the post-season push. We have high hopes for the 2021 spring season, but we will miss these seniors next year. #seniors2020 #IHSA #WeAreInThisTogether

Notice of Public Meeting: https://5il.co/g4qm

Just one week until yearbook orders are due! You can order both Jr-Sr High and Elementary books online at Jostens.com or go to the parent/student links on our Orangeville school website and follow the drop-down links.

Sharing this link for Coach Snider for the 2020 football team store. If you're looking for some active wear, the store opened today and closes Tuesday, May 26th. No orders will be accepted after that date. Link: https://www.bsnteamsports.com/shop/OhsFB20

Having a boring Monday? Check out the fun stuff on the Henry Vilas Zoo website. They're not far away, in Madison, WI, so maybe some of you have been there before. Since they're closed right now, they're "bringing the zoo to you" at https://www.henryvilaszoo.gov/zoo-at-home/

Especially during this odd period in our history, we look to and cherish our moms. Happy Mother's Day to all moms out there from everyone at Orangeville Schools!

The posting for the Board Meeting on Monday, May 11 is on the website, or here: https://5il.co/fz50

Yay, the annual OHS plant sale is still happening! It will be next Saturday, May 16th, 8-11 am in the OHS greenhouse. If you wish to pre-order, you may do so next week (11-15th) by emailing Mr. Snider at ssnider@orangevillecusd.com Available plants & cost listed in picture.

Today is our final staff spotlight picture. I hope you've enjoyed seeing them. Other than teaching JH math, Mrs. Misek has been busy spending time with her kiddos doing school work, going for walks in their woods, teaching them to cook, & playing board games together as a family.

The May newsletter is now available on the school website, or by clicking here: https://5il.co/fyz2

Today's highlight is on Mr. Guy (or Coach Guy, or Willi to the adults), our athletic director & building director. He has been cleaning much of the time with his crew at school, but with his time at home he's been cleaning up their property. They sent me cool videos of the trees falling when he cut them, but unfortunately I can't post video, so here are some pics of he and his boys after the trees are down.

Both Jr-Sr High and Elementary 2019-20 yearbooks are available for purchase on www.jostens.com Just search for Orangeville & pick either High School or Elementary School. Orders are due by Wednesday, May 20th. If you have questions, please email yearbook adviser Mrs. Scheuerell.

Today we showcase Mr. Golembiewski, or as most of us call him, Coach G. He has been busy at school, at home, and doing things outdoors. In these pics, the family is enjoying roasting some hot dogs on the fire, and he is showing off his "quarantine beard".

Posting for Committee of the Whole Mtg. is posted on the website and linked here https://5il.co/fw73

Today's pics are from Mrs. Hanson. She said she is not normally I puzzle person, but has completed several since quarantine. She has also been spending a lot of time with her grand-babies and enjoying reading aloud to past, present & future students via Facebook ♡

We are sharing this flyer on behalf of Northern Illinois University. They are offering live online classes for PreK-12th grade students in the area of reading. If you have trouble reading the flyer, you can also go to their website at https://niu.readingclasses.org/

Today begins Teacher Appreciation Week! The other day I saw a great 'definition' of a teacher as "A multi-tasking educational rockstar who lives to inspire and loves to encourage." We definitely have some rockstars here, please say a thank you to them when you get the chance.

Good morning! Today's highlight is Mrs. Heldt, our life skills teacher. While home, she has been going on runs with her dogs (she says it's really hard to take a selfie with dogs, lol!), and has also been getting the pond at her house ready for summer.

Today is the first day of the Illinois mandate to wear masks in public due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Here is a link to the IDPH page regarding masks. http://www.dph.illinois.gov/covid19/community-guidance/mask-use There are also links at the bottom about making your own mask.
