
This is Teacher (and staff) Appreciation Week! Each of these people pictured, and those who missed out on picture day, help make a difference in a child's life on a daily basis. We could not educate the students without all of these caring staff each day, working together. Thank you for all you do!


On April 4th, the grade school held their 3rd quarter awards ceremony. Congratulations to all of our recipients!



Thank you to those who came out to donate at our NHS blood drive on Wednesday. Fifteen people attempted, and we were able to successfully collect 11 pints of blood to help local recipients! Thank you also to the Rock River Valley Blood Center who worked with us on this project.

The OHS annual FFA/Ag plant sale starts tomorrow (5/2/25)! They will be open 3:00 - 6:30 pm at the greenhouse, and again on Saturday (5/3) from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. There are many plants to choose from, including vegetables and flowers. Please come check it out and help support the program!


Elementary Parents: If you ordered something from the Art to Remember fundraiser, they are scheduled to arrive by the end of this week. Items will be sorted and distributed next week. Thank you for supporting the art department!


During Earth Week last Thursday, the kindergarten and first grade classes had a special guest come to teach them about weather patterns and spring weather trends. Chief Meteorologist Candice King at Channels 17 and 39 was our visitor! Thank you for teaching us about weather!

Just a reminder, today's home baseball game is a change from the original schedule, as we are now playing Du-Pec, varsity only. Due to possible incoming weather, the home softball game against Galena is now also a varsity only game. Both games begin at 4:30. Please share.

We are a little belated, but yesterday was School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Thank you to our drivers Mr. Lauren E., Mr. Dave J., Mr. Ryan S., and Mr. Jerry S. We thank you for all you do, getting our kiddos safely to and from school and events daily!


Today is also Administrative Professionals Day, so we would like to thank our school secretaries, Miss Tonya and Miss Rachel! Thank you for everything you do for the students, staff, and school!


Don't forget, tomorrow evening (4/23/25) the PTO and Discovery Center are sponsoring a family science night in the cafeteria from 5:30-7:00 pm! This is a fun and educational night with activities for your children to learn about outer space. We hope to see you there!


Congratulations to USA Women's Hockey and OHS alum Tessa Janecke on winning GOLD in the 2025 IIHF Women's World Championship today! Not only did USA win in OT, but Tessa scored the winning goal and earned player of the game! We're so proud of you Tessa! Tuesday, April 22nd, is Earth Day, and although we have no school on Monday, we are celebrating our earth the rest of the week with dress up days! We encourage everyone to participate. Please see the flyer for the dress up days.


The PTO and the Discovery Center are sponsoring a family science night in the cafeteria on Wednesday (4/23/25) evening, 5:30 - 7:00 pm, featuring activities about outer space! This is a great night to bring out your kiddos to learn while having fun. We hope to see you there!


We were hoping the showers would subside, but due to the rainy weather, we must cancel the home baseball and softball games tonight (4/17/25) against Durand / Du-Pec. Please share with anyone planning to attend. Reschedules may happen at a later date.
