A reminder of the fun types of things to our littles can look forward to: Those from the Discovery Center Museum came to Orangeville on April 23rd to present an outer space night for our students. There were several stations, each with a mission to help teach about outer space. Thank you to PTO, The Discovery Center, and also our JH/HS helpers!
Don't forget, tonight is Meet the Teacher night! The PK-12 grade parents and students are encouraged to attend from 5:00-7:00 pm. The 6th grade and new families are invited to come at 4:30 pm to get their schedules and lockers, and an introduction - please meet in the gym. See you there!

This is a reminder to district families that you have received in your email a link to set up your Skyward parent portal and register your students. If you have additional new students to enroll, you have received an additional email with instructions to register the new students in your family. If you are a family new to the district, and you have contacted us about enrolling and have turned in your new family paperwork, you have been sent an email with instructions to set up a new Skyward account and register you students. We are inching ever closer to the start of school, and next Monday night (8/18/25) is Meet the Teacher Night! We welcome and encourage parents and students to come in and meet the teachers, walk their schedules, and bring in their supplies. We can't wait to see you!

Returning families - Skyward registration is now open. You received an email with instructions for your Skyward portal. Do not be concerned that currently there are no past or current fees or lunch balances in the system. Please follow instructions in the email to register your returning students asap. If you have questions, please email the school. EDIT: It looks like the system will show you haven't registered (even if you filled it out) until it is able to be accepted on the school's end. We will do that next week.
Families that did not make it to the extra-curricular meeting on Monday should go to the Athletic Information page: https://www.orangevillecusd.com/page/athletic-information to view the presentation and fill out the survey at the end. Families should also review the Athletic Emergency Plan, and then print, sign, and turn in the AEP signature pages. High school families will also need to turn in the Drug Testing Consent form.

If your athlete will be absent from the first practice, please email Coach Goeke. Lastly, please plan to attend a parent meeting after practice on Wednesday, August 13th in the field house.

Last year as part of an assignment, Mrs. MacKenzie had the students write an essay as part of the Americanism Essay Contest for the American Legion Auxiliary. She sent them in, and this summer Grady S. won 2nd place for 7-8th graders in the State of Illinois! Congrats Grady!

Just a reminder that tonight (8/4/25) at 6:00 pm there will be an informational night in the Fieldhouse for ALL JH/HS students and parents/guardians participating, or thinking about participating, in any extracurricular activities . Also, if no parent/guardian is able to attend, the family must follow a link, (to be posted after the meeting on the 4th) and sign all required paperwork. All information and paperwork must be viewed and signed prior to students being able to participate in the first day of practice.
Just a reminder that this Sunday (8/3) is the 13:16 Ministries Back to School Bash on the football field. A community worship service is at 11 am, and then 12 - 2 pm, there will be food and fun! Every elementary student will receive a backpack filled with school supplies. Join us!
