Thursday our kids wore Milledgeville colors in support of their students hurt in a car accident. Then at the volleyball game, we had several fundraising activities to help raise money for those families. Thanks to you, our small communities, almost $2500 was raised. Thank you!

Reminder that Orangeville School District has a SIP Day tomorrow (10/14/22). The K-12 will dismiss at 11:00. AM preschool will have class, but PM preschool will have a work at home day.

There are a number of Community Service opportunities coming up for high school students:
Sunday, October 16th the PTO Fall Fair. Be at the football field by 2:30 to help out.
Wednesday, October 19th, the American Legion Chili Supper. The supper is from 4:30 until 7:30 at the Village Hall building in Orangeville. Any student working at least 1 hour at the chili supper will receive a bonus hour of community service from Mr. Moore.
November 18th and 19th the Orangeville Lions Club Craft show. The times on Friday, the 18th, would be from after school until 8 pm. On Saturday, November 19th, hours are from 7:30 until 4.

Mr. Moore goes into the K-5 classrooms every other week to do different lessons with the kids. Over the course of the year, he focuses on the 3 areas of school counseling: career, academic, and social/emotional learning. On this day, he was reading The Juice Box Bully by Bob Sornson and Maria Dismondy. Next week, he will read another book about bullying since October is Anti-Bullying month. He will also do a Halloween safety story during October.

This past weekend, there were Milledgeville students involved in a bad car accident. Tomorrow night (10/13) we are holding some events to help raise money to help the families of the boys involved. At the volleyball game, we are having a bake sale, pulled pork sandwiches, a 50/50 raffle, and are raffling off two bronco signs! In addition, both Dakota and our Broncos are wearing Milledgeville Missiles school colors of black and orange to show our support.
Even if not attending the game, we invite all students and staff to wear black and orange to school tomorrow in support.

Another homecoming in the books! Thank you to Mrs. Scheuerell & Student Council for all their hard work planning & executing the events! Congrats to the homecoming court, Queen & King, Maddie Statdfield & Kyle Kloepping, and to the seniors, winners of the class homecoming trophy!

This Sunday, October 16, PTO is hosting a Fall Fest on the football field from 3-5:30 pm! There will be fun games, events, and concessions, all for $10/child (adults + age 2 or under are free)! If interested, there is also a glow run, starting at 5:00, and you can register there!

There may have been some confusion - Tomorrow (10/7) is NOT an early dismissal day at Orangeville School District. We dismiss at the regular 3:00 time. However, tomorrow IS the homecoming parade! It will line up at 4:30 and depart from the HS at 4:45 pm, then wind around town.

Tonight's JHFB game has been delayed due to a bus driver shortage! The bus time is now 4:20 and the game will begin between 5:45 - 6:00.

Post prom is selling hog raffle tickets! Cost per ticket is $20.00 - 1st prize is a whole hog (donated by Josh Rhodes Trucking). 2nd prize is 2 stadium seats with embroidery. 3rd prize is $50.00 cash. Drawing will be held at the last girls' home basketball game.
