Mrs. C-J's 1st and 2nd grade PE classes learned a fun new game this month - Polar Express. They had to use teamwork, cooperation, and communication skills to work together to drive their trains to the north pole to deliver presents to good boys & girls.

The first grade has been a group of busy beavers this past month! Enjoy this collage from Mrs. Lorig's class doing a STEM project, having Ag in the Classroom, participating in the music concert, and enjoying reindeer week!

Mrs. Kraft is pictured here with the elementary school fall prize winners this week! These students went "Beyond the Bronco" to earn tickets for our November/December drawing. Great job!

Orangeville School District is now officially on Winter Break! There will be no school from Monday, Dec. 23rd, 2024, through Friday, Jan. 3rd. 2025. School resumes on Monday, January 6th. We hope everyone has a relaxing break and happy holidays!

This is a reminder to the JH/HS families that tomorrow and Friday (12/19 & 20) are semester finals, with a different class schedule. Both days are regular 3:00 dismissal days, and buses run as usual at that time. The only students that are able to leave early on Friday are those who turned in their parent-signed release waiver. There is no early release on Thursday.

Just a reminder to 8th grade parents: Tomorrow night (12/18) there will be an informational meeting regarding the January outdoor education field trip. The meeting starts at 5:30, and we highly encourage each 8th grade student and at least one parent/guardian to attend.

Orangeville has eight students who are enrolled in CareerTec classes this year. Click the link to view the CareerTec newsletter and see what they, and other area CareerTec students, have been doing this semester! https://5il.co/33dsi

Mark your calendars! Next month, OHS will host a CareerTec information night for those high school students and parents interested in learning more about the CareerTec program. Those interested and currently in grades 10 & 11 grade should plan to attend.

Last Friday, the ag students had the opportunity to tour Wegmueller’s agritourism farm near Monroe, WI. We learned about their animals, airplanes, and Airbnb business. We had a great time in spite of the cold. Thank you to Dan and Ashley for allowing us to visit!

Thank you to everyone who came out or ordered online for our annual book fair. We had a very successful fair, and received some very generous donations. Because of your support, we were able to get almost $200 in free books for the library. Once again, thank you so much for your help and sharing the love of reading to our students! It's always a Great day to be a BRONCO!

The book fair is almost here! Come on in and check everything out this Wednesday, December 11th. We will be open in the LMC/Library from 4-8pm, before and after the Grade School Winter Concert. There are lot of great books and options for Christmas presents. Can't make it in person, you can order online. Free and direct shipping on orders over $25. www.scholastic.com/bf/orangevilleelementaryschool

This is just a reminder that this week we're having fun winter dress-up days. The best-dressed competition is for the JH/HS students, but the elementary is welcome to join in the fun as well!

National Honor Society had their annual induction on Nov. 14th, and we welcomed nine new members. We also welcomed Ms. Elizabeth Frautschy, Honorary Member this year, and thank her for speaking. Congratulations to Nadalee, Blake, Katie, Anicka, Oxtin, Lily, Alex, and new transfer members Olivia and Kylie! We are happy for you all to continue the tradition of scholarship, leadership, service, and character in the Orangeville NHS chapter!

Sharing for the girls' basketball team: They are having a meat raffle this Sunday, 12/8, at Central Side Bar and Co. downtown, starting at 2:00 pm; doors open at noon. This is a great way to get something nice for your holiday meal while supporting the Lady Broncos!

This is a reminder that Orangeville School District has a scheduled SIP Day tomorrow, Friday, December 6, 2024. This means our students will dismiss at 11:00 am. Have a great evening!
